Carrie Magin
Composer and dedicated educator Carrie Magin creates internationally performed works with a fresh, universal voice. Her recent work How to See an Angel appears on Fotina Naumenko’s Bespoke Songs, a 2025 GRAMMY®-nominated album. She has been commissioned by the Trombones of the Saint Louis Symphony, CCM Chorale, and WQXR, with performances by Boston Opera Collaborative, Buffalo Chamber Players, and Vocalis Chamber Choir. Honors include five NYSCA grants and the Mabel Barnum Davidson Distinguished Professor of Fine Arts award (Houghton University). Magin is Associate Professor and Area Coordinator of Composition and Theory at Houghton University and teaches at Interlochen Arts Camp.
