Exploring the themes of coffee shops, dating, urban life, and being an artist, these sassy, reflective, and humorous poems of Shannon Rayne inspired a fresh and jazz-like musical language in “Coffee Stained.” Transformative Perspectives (Russ Zokaites, bass trombone; Riette Olthof, piano; and Ruud Harte, narrator) premiered "Coffee Stained" in May of 2014 at the ArtSEEDZ Festival in the Netherlands (Enschede, Arnhem, and Zwolle).
